Country Manager

NSB Omega is a multinational leader in technical recruitment and staffing. We are presently recruiting a Country Manager for our Houston based commodity dealer.

This position has multiple functions with a key focus and responsibility of bringing fuel transportation opportunities within our budget for USA to Mexico and day to day key fuel ticker tracking, monitoring and trading within approved parameters.  Major duties include understanding the complexities of the transporting fuels and trading fuels business, financial stewardship, strategic planning and growth and being the main point of contact for major clients, and overseeing all aspects of the HR, administrative, accounting, bidding and recruiting functions of the business. This position reports directly to the President.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Leverage C-Suite contacts to open doors for transporting fuels from the United States to Mexico
  • Assist with purchasing efforts of rail cars and 18 wheelers to transport fuel from the United States to Mexico
  • Utilization of experience to successfully trade fuel daily
  • Effectively manage and interact with internal and external clients
  • Ensure adherence to all client contract requirements, KPIs, etc.
  • Assist with the development of budget plans for President approval and work within established budgets to ensure successful delivery of services
  • Involved in evaluating the performance and productivity of staff
  • Advise on new business proposals/RFPs, as required
  • Assess market conditions, identify new opportunities, and take action
  • Identify growth and diversification opportunities and develop implementation strategies
  • Ensure mindful spending for interior and exterior operations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with transporting fuel across international borders, a major plus, but not mandatory
  • Experience negotiating commercial and technical contracts
  • C Suite reach
  • Post-secondary education in business or similar
  • 10+ years of experience in the Energy/communities industry, experience with oil and gas clients is an asset.
  • 7+ years of experience in a management role, preferably overseeing multiple regions would be considered an asset.
  • Bilingual is a major plus, but not mandatory.
  • Experience purchasing, developing, and leading a team of successful global professionals.

  • Strong business and financial acumen and demonstrated experience with achieving goals
