Lean Advisor
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Lean Coach Development
- Advisor to Leadership on THE lean MANAGEMENT SYSTEM:
- How to effectively deploy Lean resources during the various phases of Lean implementation and sustainment;
- When to progress to the next phase so as not to “outrun” the capacity of local Lean resources;
- Where gaps exist that may “derail” Lean implementation of sustainment;
- How to put business goals in a Lean format; and
- How to improve adoption of Lean principles and capture momentum associated with Lean Transformation.
Role Expectations:
- Observe Lean Coaches (and Lean Practitioners in the early stages of a new deployment) in the execution of their duties and provide immediate feedback after the observations regarding successes and improvement opportunities. They “coach the Coach”, asking thought provoking questions and providing insight as to why certain behaviors are more effective than others.
- Regularly meet with their assigned Lean Coaches to accelerate their learning, develop their Lean Practitioners, and ensure Lean activities are on track.
- Facilitate and educate Leadership in Lean methods and tools required for the Lean embedment to be sustained. They provide one-on-one Lean Executive Leadership coaching.
