Fabricator
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
- Operate and program fabrication machinery safely.
- Set up and operate welding equipment.
- Measure, mark, and layout materials according to production specifications, using precision instruments.
- Conduct tack welding, grinding, and finishing processes to refine fabricated components.
- Assemble metal structures and components using bolting, riveting, and welding techniques.
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure all fabricated components meet required specifications and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot and resolve fabrication issues, including material defects, incorrect cuts, and welding inconsistencies.
- Maintain and calibrate fabrication equipment and tools to ensure operational efficiency.
- Follow all safety procedures and OSHA regulations to maintain a secure working environment.
Requirements:
- Technical Diploma or higher.
- Certification in welding, metal fabrication, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a fabricator or in a similar metalworking role.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with fabrication tools.
- Strong knowledge of different metal types and their properties.
- Ability to work with tight tolerances and perform precise measurements.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials as needed.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
